The Breathing Pyramide | an open climate infrastructure

2026 – IDOARCH Competition

“Structure remains… Life changes… Architecture breathes”

La Pyramide is reactivated as an open, climatic and adaptive infrastructure.
Its existing brutalist structure remains the permanent framework of the project, while programs, vegetation water and lightweight interventions form a reversible system able to evolve over time without erasing the identity of the building.
The central void becomes the environmental and collective heart of the building, a spatial device that gathers air, light, shade and movement, supporting natural ventilation, climatic comfort and new forms of public life.
Facades, terraces and intermediate spaces are no longer simple boundaries, but active filters between city, climate and architecture. The project does not impose a final function, it creates conditions of possibility.
Open spaces, reversible platforms and changing programs transform the building into an organism able to adapt, host and regenerate over time.
